Ink no. 2 – Tracey Leigh Flynn
“Growing up in the hardcore scene, the majority of my friends are covered in, or at least have their fair share of tattoos. Even though tattoos are becoming more acceptable in society, some still don’t understand why others cover their body in ink. This is a series of photos of people I hold close to my heart giving us a meaning behind the artwork they hold close to theirs.”
Tracey Leigh Flynn – A professional life coach, avid puppy lover. I suppose when one thinks about getting a tattoo the first thing they think of is its permanency which is why loyalty is a recurring theme, when choosing her artwork. Her latest addition to her tattoo family is a ‘STICK N POKE’, done by her roommate and dearest friend Spoiler. As the story goes, one of the many nights they spent drinking away in their old apartment (which to give you an idea was much more of a ‘Hardcore Dorm’ with more friends living just above them), Tracey walked in to everyone getting tattoos. She asked Spoiler to tattoo his name on her arm, as a devotion of her drunken love for him.
“I’ve always told myself, I’d never get a name tattooed on me, but alas, here it is. It’s probably one of my favorite tattoos, simply because he means the most. It’s a raw and real reflection of that friendship.” – Tracey

[...] Last week, Mira blogged about our Captain friend Alex’s feature on the lovely Maura’s site. This week, I’m so happy to share Ink #2 featuring my best friend Tracey Leigh Flynn. I don’t like sticks (unless their being used to make s’mores) and I don’t really like getting poked, but I’d consider getting stick n’ poked for you…Check out the feature here: POKE! [...]
