Had to change the vibe on my posts. Getting all worked up like it’s the forums. Lame. No thank you :S
We’re starting our winter season soon. Indoor soccer 6 on 6 in a college gym. Fast pace, one touch real football. I got this necklace made for Angelo last christmas. He’s never took it off since.

May 2010 I should be finished my University degree. I’m hoping to visit Japan. I can’t explain the attraction I have to that part of the world. Putting Japanese streetwear/fashion aside for a second, since the beginning of my University degree, most of my elective classes were anything Asian studies/religions. Having nothing to do with what I am studying, Buddhism, Shinto, Taoism, and Folk Religions of Japan and China simply tickle me. It’s random and nerdy I know but who cares.
To the person tripping out, a response is in the comment section for you.

I’ve been so busy grinding on some serious business type thing. You know my usual, school, internship, working full time, broken PC, Hearty Magazine, ect… La di dada.
Cro-mags are coming, debating if I should go to watch them in Toronto for the Fest. Yeah I know, no Harley and Parris but it’s all JJ for me that counts at this point. Other than that, I got these New Balances at the shop the other day. I might be in love.

A big congratulations goes out to Fucked Up for their win last night at the Polaris Music Award for their record, “The Chemistry of Common Life,” as well as a big wad of cash to go along with it!

I was part of some middle wave in Montreal hardcore. Before me was truth, after me is questionable. When I was going to shows on the weekly, I was part of that younger crowd that saw the OG’s as idols. I can’t say I witnessed it all, but I can say I did witnessed some of this:
Montreal’s A Death for Every Sin formed in the summer of 99 as a reaction to what seemed to have forgotten about Hardcore. My boy, Fred Tremblay found vocalist Nick Racicot and drummer Ben Dussault (what is now the OG lineup of Final Word with Ben Trepanier), then recruited Max Jenniss and Phil Marchand from In Dying Days (who can forget that band?) and the writing began. Within months the band had recorded and released a 3-track demo that established them a solid fan-base in Europe, Canada, Japan, and the US. A Death For Every Sin shared the stage on tour with bands likes Death Threat, Buried Alive, Throwdown, All Out War and Hatebreed.
The other day I was cleaning out my room. Came across this long sleeve. Paused…admired, and folded it to put it back in the drawer to rediscover it again in a few years.

Since the summer league ended, we’ve been playing pick-up soccer at a field in St-Henri. School started for me last week, which means I can no longer attend the matches. On Tuesday, RFC had a friendly match against the Montreal Impact Ultras. Johnny got some footage of the match. This is by far my favorite video he’s worked on. Click on the full screen. Trust me its worth it.
