Beggin’ – Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons

On the rare occasion I’ll go to a punk show. On this occasion I went to see Tragedy play at IL MOTORE. Going to this show is not what I am typically used to. You can really sense the diversity in the room. With guys in Straight Edge Montreal varsity jacket, others with Cro-mags t-shirts and Vans, and whole lots of other people with spiked leather jackets, greasy green hair, and beer flying everywhere. But once Tragedy got on stage, none of that mattered and everyone was in the pit chanting to their songs. I on the other hand was just this little girl trying to squeeze in on all of this to get my very first shots at a hardcore punk show. And I’m pretty damn proud to say these are of Tragedy.

Tragedy was formed in 2000 with ex-members of influential bands such as Deathreat and His Hero is Gone. Taking their influences from early hardcore punk music, they have created a recognizable sound in the hardcore punk scene and have had a huge following over the years.
